Trying to install Windows Phone SDK 7.1 via configuration manager.
I downloaded the Windows Phone SDK 7.1 offline installer and Put it out on my distribution point. The silent switches for this product is setup /q /norestart. If I run it via command line it works perfect without sccm, if I run it in a package using sccm The advertisement fails with 5100 ERROR.

have you tried setup /q /NoEventLog /NoErrorLog /norestart ? it will log events to the current user profile, and as the TS run as the system account, that might fail!Michael Petersen | My blogs: blog.coretech.dk/author/mip/ and SCUG.dk/ | Twitter: @OSDeploy | Linkedin: Michael Petersen

Thanks for the reply Micheal. I had some what of a success and failure rolled into one. On a clean machine with no apps installed using setup /q /NoEventLog /NoErrorLog /norestart Windows Phone SDK 7.1 installs via sccm. On a lab Machine that has other applications installed on it, I still get the 5100 error when advertising directly from the package not a TS. If I manually run setup /q /NoEventLog /NoErrorLog /norestart from my DP the installation also will install. Anything else I could try to troubleshoot this problem?, I am stumped. Any logs I can post here for help in debugging?. It's really maddening.

Also Micheal's suggestion above to turn of logging indeed allowed me to install Windows Phone SDK 7.1 without issue with sccm.
