Trying to install Remote Access but told I need to restart.

Hi,

I am trying to set up a Remote Access on a Windows 2012 Essentials Server but it keeps failing telling me I that the server needs a restart.

After a bit of research I have seen this is related to the Windows Internal Database and to modify the permissions. I have tried this, see below:

The trouble is that even with this in place it will not install.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

So what happens after you restart?

Free Windows Admin Tool Kit Click here and download it now

Unfortunately the same thing happened.

I have sorted this now though, the steps I took are below:

1, Create a new OU called DC2

2, In Group Policy Management copy the Domain Controllers Policy and call the copy DC2

3, Browse to the same place as above and remove the entries relating to SQL.

4, Add the Server to the DC2 OU

5, Reboot

6, Install Remote Access.

I hope this helps someone else in the future.
