Trying to create a PowerView report but could not import the data
Hi, Thanks for looking into this thread. Problem is: I am trying to create a new PowerView report from the Model. Now, when I try to import data, the Test Connection succeeds, even I am able to Preview the selected table's data, but as soon as the import starts, an error message occurs saying A network-related or instance-specific error has occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. Server is not found or not accessible. Check if instance name is correct and if SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. Model connects to sql server successfully, test connection succeeds, preview works but I could not import the data. Please help me out as I tried many other things to make it work on many computers, but it is not working at all. Thanks, Niraj

Hi Niraj, Sorry for the delay. Based on the error message, the issue may occur if the SQL Server service is stopped or you are using SQL Server Express with Advanced Services or a named instance.
