Trouble installing client on Windows 7 machine (WMI error 80070003)
I'm having some issues installing the ConfigMgr client on a Windows 7 machine. Basically, it’s a problem with WMI. It’s unable to create the CCM namespace and the error 80070003 (or 0x80070003 in some cases) is all over the place. I've tried the following: 1. Running the WMIDiag.vbs but apparently that doesnt run on x64 2. Renaming the repository folder to .old and a repository folder never gets recreated after I start winmgmt. 3. Tried a .bat file I found online that mofcomps all of the mof's in the repository folder after renaming it to .old and after each mofcomp, I get a 0x80070003 error. 4. The /salvagerepository command fails also with error code 0x80070003. I can’t seem to find any information on error 80070003 other than “Unable to find the specified path” which doesn’t tell me much and may not even be related to WMI. I can post the ccmsetup.log on here if that helps. Any ideas are welcome.

Perhaps an address resolution issue? Give this a try... copy the entire client setup folder locally, and then run CCMSETUP locally with SMSMP SMSLP and SMSSITECODE flags specified. Nick.
