Trend Micro OfficeScan causing error in Office Web Apps SharePoint 2013:  Microsoft Word Web Apps:  Sorry, there was a problem and we can't open this document

Hi,
We have Trend Micro OfficeScan 10.6 SP3 installed on the client and it is affecting opening Word documents in SharePoint 2013 in 2 ways:
1.  We get an error when opening Word documents in the browser.  Microsoft Word Web Apps:  Sorry, there was a problem and we can't open this document.
2.  Open a Word document in the Word client, it hangs and does not open.

We have tested uninstalling Trend Micro client and it resolves the issue.

Has anyone else encountered this in their environment?

Is there any update on this issue?

From this article https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/952167 , You may have to configure your file-level antivirus software to exclude certain folders.

If you suspect this is client machine issue, you may test the issue on another client machine and check if it works.
