I have several (100+) file folders (that contain documents within the folders) that I need to move from a shared drive to our sharepoint site. Is there a way that I can move them all at once or in batches?

You could either use the explorer view and copy and paste or drag and drop, or you could look at some third party tools that could help migrate content from file shares to SharePoint.

As Lori mentioned there are some third party tools that can take care of this, if you need to preserve some metadata objects. If you're limiting yourself to OOB functionality, these thoughts may help: - You can map your SharePoint libraries as network drives and drag and drop content across into each one as appropriate OR (as mentioned below) you can also use the Windows Explorer view. Bulk uploads will be sensitive to your upload limits. A bulk upload must be below your farm upload limit or it will fail. If you plan enforcing metadata or versioning you may want to turn this off for the duration of any manual data move. There is some more way: 1. You can use Import / Export feature through stsadm. 2. You can use SharePoint Content Deployment Wizard for same. This freely available on internet.
