Track configuration changes
I am just wondering if there is a way in SCOM to track configuration changes and WHO actually made them?

Are there no management packs for this either? even a third party one?

Hi,
there aren't MPs for it. Simply because SCOM does not register changes that good. So there isn't much to track.Best regards, Marnix Wolf

Hi
Silect Software offer an application for this but it does only track changes made through their own interface. If users make changes through the OpsMgr UI then they are still not tracked.
Sadly Marnix is correct - there are options for users to voluntarily add information (e.g. for overrides there is an "edit" option that allows you to specify comments about the override) but there is no available "enforced" auditing of changes.

i've had an suggestion on connect for this a long time ago. it recently got the status "active" again. so who knows:

btw this will only be helpful for authors/operators for config changes to rules/monitors. it won't help for administrators making changes to the config (admin tab), but neither does the silect software i think.
