Timeout updating set in RC0
I am attempting to update a dynamic set in RC0. The set has a simple query of:users that match all of the following:employeeID is not 12345employeeID is not 23456employeeID is not 34567I want to add employeeID is not 45678, but when i attempt to modify the set, I get the following error:The request channel timed out while waiting for a reply after 00:00:59.9843999. Increase the timeout value passed to the call to Request or increase the SendTimeout value on the Binding. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout.I have restarted services and server and continue to get the error. I have attempted the modification with a few different accounts including the built-in sync account and the admin account with the same results.I can modify other sets, just not this one for some reason.

I can't provide you with exact detail but all i know is that RC0 has some perf issue. RC1 has been greatly improved with perf. It's much faster and scalable

you are correct - RC1 has improved performance, as well as other changes; however, there is no direct upgrade from RC0 to RC1 so it is not an overnight fix. Right now, I have RC0 in a pilot deployment with this issue and need to find a way to get around it.

Unfortunately we have this problem persisting in the RTM version for a large(ish) site. Even after re-indexing etc, we still had to resort to editing the config files to increase the timeouts before we could commit the updated set definition. Also had to use the criteria-by-criteria approach suggested by another post in this forum.Bob Bradley, www.unifysolutions.net (FIMBob?)
