I was getting this error when my query was taking around 10 mins to run. In my case I applied the filter in my Proc and refresh the fields and then removed the filter back from Proc.

Hi Karenros, The query time-out values are specified during report authoring when we define an embedded dataset. By default, the time-out value is set to 30 seconds. As Rakesh posted, you can try to increase the query time-out value. For more information about Setting Time-out Values for Report and Shared Dataset Processing (SSRS), please see: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms155782.aspx Thanks, Bin LongPlease remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help.
