Time of deployment to Clients are different than when Scheduled on SCCM 2012 Primary Server

Hello,

Just wondering why the Time of deployment to Clients via a report are different than when Scheduled on SCCM 2012 Primary Server? The distribution Point and the client computer involved are all on the same time (time zone) as the primary Server?

Thanks so much in advanced,

Mark

Can you give an example?

Is this for something deployed immediately or something that was deployed for a future time (more than hour)?

Also - did You select time based on UTC or "Client local time" in the Scheduling tab for the deployment?

Using local time. It doesn't matter what time it is deployed (future or now), the time is off. I thought maybe a DP in a different time zone was being used so I created a application and distributed it to 2 local dp, with local time.  I just did an OSD deployment and the log files are off by three hours.  What should I search for in smsts.log to find out the computer is using for OSD DP?

Thanks,

Mark

Are you really and truly on 2012 or do you have SP1 (or R2) installed?

You'll need to be more specific as to what report.  The data itself may be stored in UTC.  Would that make sense for what you see in the report (eg, if you are setting it to local time of 7am and live in UTC-3 time zone, the report shows 10am)?

An example report is "All package and program deployments to a specified computer"

It was started this morning 8:39 am (Eastern Time) and I have a system finishing today at 5:05 PM (in the future).

I am running  ConfigMgr 2012 R2 CU5 5.00.7958.1604

OSD Task sequence deployment logs times are also off, like above.

That report does not show times so it's still unclear where exactly you are getting these times from.

Did you perhaps drill down into the "All system resources for a specified package and program in a specified state" report which has a last status column?

Give me an example of a report with times in it and I will run it for you. I'll post the results.

Sorry, but you're basing your conclusion on something here and that's what we're trying to dig into -- if you can't tell us what you are basing your conclusion on, then it's impossible for us to provide any info or help.

If you want to look when a client ran a program, check the client's execmg

execmgr.log from computer dontdisplaylastname package was displayed to:  Notice: Time is correct

Problem appears to be related to report server service is on the primary server and the time is EST and is correct.  Why are reports based on UTC time?

Thanks,

Mark

Looks like there isn't a way to have reports display in local time:
