Throwing unexpected error - permissions page

Hi All,

we have few custom permission groups.

with Site collection administrator access i am able to open any of the security group. But if i try to open the security group with some other access level, let us say Full Control access level, it is throwing "An unexpected error has occurred" with the correlation id, i found below information in log file.

Any idea how to resolve or what is the cause for this issue?

One of two things is going on here...

  1. Either the custom security group you configured is set to only allow the owner/members to see details about the group (remember those check boxes?) Which can be corrected by editing the group settings as the owner account, or
  2. You may be encountering the bitmask problem as described and fixed here: http://www.cjvandyk.com/blog/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=225

Personally I think it's probably #1.
