This is Ridiculous, can't find IDTSOutput90 in VS 2008
This is so frustrating. First time trying to use the stupid SQL SMO and I install SQL 2008 including the SQL 2008 SDK, add the ref Microsoft.SqlServer.DTSPipelineWrap.dll assembly to my VS 2008 C# project and still it's not resolving the following types from this existing old project that is from a SQL 2005 book example code: IDTSOutputColumnCollection90 IDTSOutput90 so obviously it's in Microsoft.SqlServer.DTSPipelineWrapper.dll from the SQL 2005 SDK??? Ok then why is the SQL 2008 SDK having Microsoft.SqlServer.DTSPipelineWrap.dll which is even a different assembly name (it leaves off the extra per at the end for wrapper). So wtf am I supposed to do, download the SQL 2005 SDK which I tried and did not find a Microsoft.SqlServer.DTSPipelineWrapper.dll or should the SQL 2008 SDK already be backward compatible to contain the types IDTSOutputColumnCollection90, IDTSOutput90, etc. or are those extinct in the new SQL 2008 SDK? what the heck do I do here to get these stupid types to resolve in a VS 2008 based project? Oh and whoever reported this abusive are you kidding me? Get a life.

Hey dude I don't care. I'm a real person so what if I am frustrated get over it. I'm not here to be perfect and I get sick of people like you getting all besides themselves when someone actually acts normal and frustrated in a forum, who cares...It wasn't aimed at anyone. If that where the case then you have a right to complain. I'm here to vent and get answers. Developers vent, get used to it. If you don't want to help go help someone else if you can't handle people getting frustrated and I don't give a damn if you re-posted my original post how about that. I did use the assemblies from 100 and it still does not resolve those types.

The types are IDTSOutput100, IDTSOutput90 but this existing code from some SSIS book via SQL 2005 is using IDTSOutput period. So obviously that's no longer a type in the new SDK? This is what I'm trying to verify...the diff in SDK from 2005 to 2008. I don't want to use the SDK from 2005.

Dude, get used to it - we don't care. You are abusive. Vent somewhere else. You've come here to get some help, and the first thing you do is throw a tantrum. Don't expect sympathy. Talk to me now on

But for so many years, this is the first time I'm seeing such disgusting and impolite response. Joost was just trying to help and he and many like him are not getting paid for this service. So you have to respect this. Do not expect to get any further response from me or anybody else until you apologize. I don't care...because the first person to reply had to bitch about some harmless little venting...it was barely anything so I'm going to make a big deal out of it now.

oh and BTW Cozyroc, don't give me that "we are helping you for free". Point is, SSISJost had to frame my venting and write "very professional..." stop wining yourselves, it's a little venting for God sakes. WTF do you people get all upset about. Christ. You people get in a tizzy at the slightest venting on a product, WHO CARES.

"You've come here to get some help, and the first thing you do is throw a tantrum." yea that was a HUGE tantrum. LOL give me a break. Why not read past the venting and just answer the question. Who the hell gets upset about some poster venting about a product when the venting was so little, it's not even worth noticing really. Please. You people are weird.
