There is a problem showing the current status in Software Center

I am getting this message on 1 Win7 PC when launching Software Center:

"There is a problem showing the current status"  under More Information : Loading Software Center returned error code 0x80041013 (-2147217389)

Ive googled this and nothing comes up except for an XP issue regarding Terminal Server that has a different error code.

Ive tried repairing WMI and re-installing the client.

Has anyone else seen this?

I have seen this when upgrading a client from 2007 R3 to 2012 SP1 as part of a migration. 2 things for you to try, uninstall the client and then re-install, don't upgrade. I managed to get around it by re-generating the WIM with the 2012 SP1 client in it.

I tried several things to solve this same issue.

Uninstalled and reinstalled the client several times, cleared the cache and tried to update the client policy from Client Center but the error continued, I thought the problem was that the CCM Notification Agent was disabled. But the only thing that helped  me was in the registry editor.  the problem was the dcmsdk.dll, hope this can be useful for anyone having this error code.
