The trust relationship between the primary domain and the trusted domain failed + Running Configuration Wizard

Hi,

I have a SharePoint 2013 farm with 2 WFE Servers and 2 Application servers and one database server.

Right now we are facing the below error in Event Log when we try to change one of the App server to host the CA by running the Configuration wizard

Failed to connect to the configuration database.
An exception of type System.SystemException was thrown.  Additional exception information: The trust relationship between the primary domain and the trusted domain failed.

Can someone let me know if you have any solutions to fix the issue.

Note: I have removed the server from the domain and rejoined back. But it doesnt resolve the issue

Hi Steve,Its clearly mentioning that the CA or APP server is not able to connect to the DB server.Ensure the below To resolve the issue.

  1. Is the DB server up and running?
  2. Is the account that your running PSConfig has proper permissions in DB Instance?
  3. Is the port which your trying to connect is allowed?
  4. Ensure to reboot the DB server once and check the issue.
