The synchronization server has detected a Microsoft Exchange version different from the one you have selected.
We have Exchange 2007 deployed in our test environment and everything appears to be operational; mail flows, users get provisioned properly with mailboxes, etc... When I'm in the AD MA and look at the Configure Extensions tab, Exchange 2007 is selected in the "Provision for" dropdown, but I get this error when I navigate to another tab: The synchronization server has detected a Microsoft Exchange version different from the one you have selected. Do you want to continute? If you believe this is in error, please post a question in the Forefront Identity Manager 2010 forum. Ok, so I took some liberties with the last sentence, but re-entering my credentials does not resolve the issue. The AD MA account is an Exchange Recipient Administrator; however, the Exchange environment in test is currently operating under a trial license. Could the trial license somehow be affecting this? Could this problem, or the trial license, have anything to do why I can't see the Approve/Reject buttons in Outlook? http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ilm2/thread/ed3b7f2b-fe67-41aa-b7b4-2df58d48b4b6Brad Turner, ILM MVP - Ensynch, Inc - www.identitychaos.com

This is a known issue with FIM 2010 RTM and will be fixed in the first update. The GAL MA is doing the right thing... You can ignore this message and continue. /Andreas This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. same problem with Exchange 2010 without SP1... additional symptoms: in Exchange Console I see all users, but they Recipient Type Details = Legacy Mailbox and primary SMTP Address field is empty When I double click on this entries - I get error: The properties on this object have invalid data. If you click OK, default values will be used instead and will be saved if you do not change them before hitting Apply or OK on the property page. If you click cancel, the object will be displayed read-only and corrupted values will be retained E-Mail Addresses Tab empty. When click "Add..." button and set SMTP address - I see new error -> "ExchangeGuid in mandatory on UserMailbox" My Fim Portal User Sync Rule configuration for Exchange: true -> mDBUseDefaults mailNickName -> mailNickname Trim(/o=Company/ou=Exchange Administrative Group (xxxxxxxxxxx)/cn=Configuration/cn=Servers/cn=MAIL01-SRV)->msExchHomeServerName Trim(CN=MailStorage1,CN=Databases,CN=Exchange Administrative Group (xxxxxxxxxxx),CN=Administrative Groups,CN=Company,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=company,DC=com)->homeMDB This settings successfully add to user ADSI properties. In AD MA I set: Provisioning for -> Exchange 2010 Exchange 2010 RPS URI -> http://server1.company.com/powershell
