After insalling the Reporting Service of sQL 2K5 on win 2k3 I could not access the web site.

First make sure the server is fully patched.

Second re-run Reporting Services configuration manager.

Thanks for your relpy. I have check that the Server has been fully patched already. And there is still such problem. You ask me re-run Reporting Services configuration manager what could I do after I launched the RS configuration manager?

It looks like Microsoft Operations Manager is being installed on top of SQL Reporting Service 2005.

If so, the root cause should be:

When Microsoft Operations Manager is introduced to a SQL Reporting Service system, it modifies the configuration files of the SQL Reporting Service.

To solve the issue, please follow these steps:

1. When Microsoft Operations Manager is being installed on top of SQL Reporting Service 2005, it takes the backup of the Reporting Services configuration files as:

RSReportServer.config.0 and RSReportServer.config.1

2. Renamed one of these configuration files back to RSReportServer.config and restart

Reporting Services Windows Service and Internet Information Server (IIS).

3. After done the steps above, the Reporting Service may work fine. And then install Microsoft Operations Manager reports and Service Package 1 for Microsoft Operations Manager.

Hi Jin Chen, Thank you very much for your advices. It really work. BTW when I opened the Configuration Report Server Manager the "Initialization" link button is disabled in the window. Do you know why?
