The report server cannot decrypt the symmetric key
Hello I am having problem with SQL server 2005 Reporting services. When I access link listed below or try to publish any of my reports I receive error message http://localhost/Reports/Pages/Folder.aspx Error message is The report server cannot decrypt the symmetric key used to access sensitive or encrypted data in a report server database. You must either restore a backup key or delete all encrypted content. Check the documentation for more information. (rsReportServerDisabled) (rsRPCError) Get Online Help I was hoping you there are step by step instructions on how can I fix error Your help appretiated Thank you Armine Bell

This issue will occur if there are different accounts used for backing up encrypted keys and for "Windows Service Identity" under "Reporting Services Configuration Manager". To resolve this issue, you need to first delete encrypted content and try to configure "Windows Services Identity" again.Vijay Ramshetty
