The management agent "Fabrikam ILMMA" failed on run profile "Delta Import" because of an unspecified management agent error.
Hi All, I am following the steps from the online document http://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/dd239141%28WS.10%29.aspx (Introduction to Outbound Synchronisation). I created one contract user via ILM portal and while running Delta Import run profile, I am getting following error. Don't have clue what could be wrong. Any pointer? thanks in advance - sachin First log entry ---------------- The server encountered an unexpected error while performing a callback operation. Searching for 'object exporter' yields some results.I normally cycle the sync service when I see this message.CraigMartin Oxford Computer Group http://identitytrench.com

Hello,Looking at your first log entry, one of the error messages is "Management agent cannot perform delta import, the next import operation has to be a full import.". Have you tried to perform a full import? I would attempt to do a full import, after restarting the sync service as Martin suggests, then follow that up with a delta import to see if the error is still occuring.Cheers,MarcMarc Mac Donell, ILM MVP, Senior Consultant (Identity Assurance), Avaleris Inc.

Full Import always works fine. I have restarted the sync services (both the ILM services) but still "Delta Import" fails with the same error.

In the release notes for FIM RC 1 it says that delta imports for the FIM MA are not supported in this release, that we should always use Full Imports.David Lundell www.ilmBestPractices.com

Delta imports are supported in RC1.There are some known scalability issues; however, this doesn’t make delta imports unsupported in general. If a delta import fails, you should try a full import as a first troubleshooting step.Cheers,MarkusMarkus Vilcinskas, Technical Content Developer, Microsoft Corporation

So the following from the RC 1 release notes needs updating? Do not use delta-import with FIM MA · In this release, always run a full import when synchronizing the FIM MA. Running a delta-import may result in a no-start-full-import-required error in some scenarios. David Lundell www.ilmBestPractices.com
