The backup/restore job failed.
I'm a MOSS newbie with a test site running, and I'm unable to run a full backup from either the Central Admin or through command line stmadm. I'm logged in with an AD network account that's set as an administrator both in the server's groups as well as in SharePoint. It's the same account I'm using to log into the server (as a member of the admin group) as well as the SP application (as System Account). From cmd I get the following error:The backup/restore job failed. In order to rerun the backup/restore the timer job must be deleted from the Timer Job Definitions page. Failure Message: An update conflict has occurred, and you must re-try this action. The object SPBackupRestoreConfigurationSettings Parent=SPFarm Name=SharePoint_Config is being updated by NETWORK/ACCOUNT, in the OWSTIMER process, on machine SERVERNAME. View the tracing log for more information about the conflict.Tried a few different times, using both the CA interface and command line, each time deleting the Backup/Restore job from Timer Definitions before running.Googled and found http://www.sharepointu.com/forums/t/278.aspx, which says to find the config.ini and set the value to 1. I cannot even find a config.ini in the specified folder (or anywhere else on the server for that matter).I also checked the server's tracing logs, which were empty. Also: I'm able to run a non-full backup and get a .dat file. Any suggestions?Much,MUCH thanks!

Failure Message: The backup job failed " Shared Search Index Completing backup 9/7/2009 6:06 PM Object Shared Search Index failed in event OnPrepareBackup. For more information, see the error log located in the backup directory. KeyNotFoundException : Object e2581ec6-0096-4756-bad4-0df75dc2d0c1 not found. it would be great if there is a solution for this ? thanks./* Windows Infrastructure Support Engineer */

I've performed the backup from the CA site, however one option is error see the attached code Shared Search Index Object Shared Search Index failed in event OnPrepareBackup. KeyNotFoundException: Object e2581ec6-0096-4756-bad4-0df75dc2d0c1 not found. is that ok since i don't bother with the search content (can be rescheduled for another crawling). Does anyone know if that error is ok / negligible ? Thanks. and when I go to the SSMS and look at the *_ContentDB all backup destination has been prefilled with the .BAK (same as the destination directory source) [MOSS_Farm_Config]\ Windows SharePoint Services Web Application\ MySite - 10001\ MySite_ContentDB\ Sandbox Web Application\ WSS_Content\ SharePoint - 80\ SharePoint80_ContentDB\ [WSS_Administration]\ [Web Application]\ SharePoint_AdminContent_f632e5bf-cbd9-4d9f-a819-1811feb4f2b6\ SharedServices1\ [SSP-10000]\ SSP_ContentDB\ [SharedServices1_DB]\ [UserProfileApplication]\ [SessionStateSharedApplication]\ *[Shared Search Index]\ [SharedServices1_Search_DB]\ Global Search Settings\ Windows SharePoint Services Search\ [Search instance]\ [MOSS_Search_DB]\/* Windows Infrastructure Support Engineer */
