The Value expression for the textrun ‘Textbox16.Paragraphs[0].Text Runs[0]’ contains an error: Procedure call or argument is not valid
Hi Reporting Services 2008 - there doesn't seem to be anything unusual about the textbox, was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this error? Thanks in advance Josh

Thanks for your response, the text box is Arial, 10pt Bold. The expression is simply ="" I've tried blanking out the expression to just leave it empty and am getting the same error.

Please check if you have another textbox with the same name but with different case. You may check from the dropdown in properties window. I once had an issue as such and renaming one of the controls resolved the problem. Another alternate options is to add a new row, copy and paste all but the textbox16 to the new row from old, then delete the old row. Please check. Please click "Mark as Answer" if this resolves your problem or "Vote as Helpful" if you find it helpful. BH

Check the Textbox database field or any expression which you are writing in Textbox. In Properties window select TextBox14 control and check where exactly Textbox14 is located in Tablix or matrix controls.Nanda

Although this has been solved here, I want to leave a comment here for future readers like I. I had similar situation with similar error message. I changed expression several times - no change in error message. Deleted and recreated field - no change in error message. Until I finally gave up and deleted a field from report at all, but - no change in error message!!! And then I got solution quite quickly: I reviewed the code of RDL (after I deleted my field), my Text-field was not there, but - no change in error message. I restored RDL from earlier backup - no change in error message. Finally I closed and reopened BIDS and my problems were gone. But it took me almost full day with searches in internet... R: Lembit

Hello, I just deleted the field, and re-ran the report. The textbox error was still showing pointing to the textbox I had already deleted. I simply saved the report project, closed VS, and re-opened the project. No more text box error. Thanks Lembitk. Josh
