The Forefront Identity Manager Service cannot connect to the Exchange Web Service.
I know this post is a bit similar to others, however, I don't understand why this issue cropped up just by changing the FIM service account password and restarting the service on an existing installation that was working previously without event log errors. Any help would be appreciated... Event Error: The connection failure may be due to a network failure, firewall configuration error, or other connection issue. Additionally, the failure may be due to incorrect Exchange Web Service configuration. Verify that the Exchange Web Service is reachable from the Forefront Identity Manager Service computer. Ensure that Exchange is running, that the network connection is active, and that the firewall is configured properly. Last, ensure that the Exchange Web Service configuration is correct in the Microsoft.ResourceManagement.Service.exe.config file. Config file: <appSettings> <add key="mailServer" value="https://site-exchange.contoso.com/ews/exchange.asmx" /> <add key="isExchange" value="1" /> <add key="sendAsAddress" value="svc-fim@contoso.com" /> <add key="synchronizationServerName" value="SITE-FIM-01" /> </appSettings> Error when browsing to the address from the FIM server: There is a problem with this website's security certificate. The security certificate presented by this website was issued for a different website's address.
