Hi Fun, its fun for me also to suggest such a thing.. but fortunatly you can do it by using following steps. 1- select the text box properties 2- Go to border tab 3 - select the border color "red" and click on preset button and then remove the all other lines by keeping only bottom lin in preview box of border. Note: Please put this type of column on the last in your report to get a better look of report. Hope it will help you. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please mark my post as an answer if I helped you to resolve the issue or vote up if I helped you.Thanks. Hi IMaqbool, Thanks for the prompt reply but I am not suppose to use borders it should be the underline color which needs to change. :-( as border covers whole text box which has more text in it ..I want that particular text "Order" which is underline to be in red color and the text in black color. Hope you got my point. Thanks, Fun BI

HI , if its a simple text in a text box (not a field value) then you can highlight specific word and underline it ..but you are able to color full world including line for specific world in text..not a field value... I think as underlline is tteated as whole part of the text not separatly in SSRS reporting thats y through design i dont think so you can do it. If you find any clue do let me know also... ..thanks.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please mark my post as an answer if I helped you to resolve the issue or vote up if I helped you.Thanks. Hi IMaqbool, Yeah, It's Just a simple text not a field value. I have been pondering over this issue :-( with no luck. The last thing would be put a line from the toolbox under the text with other color but that doesn't seems to work out when converted to html or pdf :-( Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Fun BI

Hi Fun BI, According to your description, the line with color under the text is not displayed when viewing the report via html or PDF, right? Please correct me if my understanding is wrong. I have tried your scenario on my test environment with SSRS 2008, when viewing the report on report manager, the line was not displayed, but all seemed ok when exporting the report to PDF, the line with color displayed under the text. I suspect that when you viewing the report via html, the line was covered by the textbox, but when export to PDF, the line could move to below the textbox. I suggest you using Rectangle to reach your goal, please refer to the following steps, and then check if it works for you. 1. Drag Rectangle from the Toolbox. 2. Put the textbox and Line in the Rectangle. 3. Type text in the textbox and put the Line under the textbox based on your requirement. However, this is just a workaround for you, if you have any concern about this, please submit a feedback at http://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/Feedback and hope Microsoft improve this feature in the next service pack or product release. Thanks, Eileen
