Hello Experts,

I am very new to Infopath forms, I have been trying to create a form. The Form has

FirstName

LastName

Today Date

Supervisor

I have few questions

1) I have made FistName and LastName as cannot be blank.In the preview I thought If I tab the text box without text in it,  there will be some indication of mandatory field.But it allows me to tab to next field. How can this be fixed.

2) Today's Date is used DatePicker and used value as today(). Here I need today's date to be default in the field, but whenever I click preview I see the Today's date as empty field.

3) Supervisor field I made a rule that, if Supervisor is blank then set the action

But if I tab from Supervisor field without entering anything it is not setting the given concat  value in the field.

I am new to Infopath, please help me to figure this.

Hi,

1.when you make FistName and LastName as cannot be blank. In the preview there be a * and it will display a remind when you hover on the filed.

2.To make DatePicker using value as today().

Data Picker Properties->value->Insert Formula->Insert Founction->Date,choose today.

3. After you making the rule on Supervisor field, when preview, you need to fill in a value on the Supervisor filed and clear the value, Then it will work.
