Task overdue emails even after deleting all tasks
A task email is send to a user every week at a specific time in MOSS,I have checked the tasks for that user and deleted it but it still repeats,we actually restored the web application to a new port number and content database and deleted the old web application but kept the content database could this be the reason or please let me know any other reasons that might cause this,Is there a sql query that i can run to see the tasks of that user in all the content dbs.we dont have a dev environment so there is no way this emaila are from a different environment. The email subject would be something like below Task assing to John on 3/6/2011 is overdue due by 3/10/2011 D

Hi shrawn, This issue should be caused by that you had deleted this task before completed it, and this workflow kept sending this task overdue email every 7 days later. You can try to find the deleted task item from Recycle Bin, restore and complete it, then check result again. And you can also try to find the workflow which created this task, then remove this workflow (this will cancel all current running tasks created by this workflow) and re-add it to that SharePoint list, please refer to a similar post below, http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/eu/sharepointworkflow/thread/8361e3d5-ddf4-42e9-bfb2-54e025ab8455 ThanksDaniel Yang TechNet Community Support
