Task Sequence is prompting for language selection

I'm using SCCM 2012 to create/capture/deploy Windows 7 images. I've injected a language pack into my WIM using the DISM method. When I apply the image I am prompted to choose my language in the "Set up Windows" box. I dont want this to pop-up as it holds up the image process...

People seem to be resolving the issue by using a custom UNATTENDED.XML file. I'm not using any custom XML files for anything and am hoping to not have to..

My question is: If I use a custom XML file in the "Apply Operating System" step, will that overwrite any customizations already being done by SCCM's generated Task Sequence config files? Or can I create an XML file that only contains the settings I want to specify (aka: locale, inputs, etc.) and not cause any conflicts with SCCM's existing process?

Language packs you integrated have nothing to with this. Youre experiencing that box promt because system and user locale are required during setup and they should be in unattended.xml, it is the minimun info you will need to feed into unattended.xml.
