I have a task sequence that I use to image win 7 machines. I want it to be available from PXE only - not from 'run advertised program' - however it is available there and anyone can use it to re-image. What am I missing here? thanks

Then simply advertise it to computers running an OS that is NOT in your organisation. to do so right click on the Task Sequence , choose the Advanced Tab. and change the section This task sequence can run only on the specified client platforms . choose Windows vista or some non-used os, then you can PXE boot and choose the optional advertisement no problem, and it will NOT APPEAR in RAP on your clients. it works, note however that every new task sequence you create will need this section updated otherwise it'll end up in RAP and you may not want that (you know the way users are....) you could make this easy on yourself by simply duplicating the task sequence once done and then edit the steps in the new duplicated ts. to protect yourself further from that you could enable a PXE password and ....... enable an additional password in the Task Sequence.
