Task Sequence - What does the Setup Windows and ConfigMgr task do?
I know part of it is to install the SCCM client but what does it "setup" for Windows? This step takes a long time and I was thinking of removing it and replace it with just the SCCM client install package. Thanks.

you cant replace that step, if you do the task sequence will fail and windows will not install properly.
