Task List And Permissions
Hello All Ok i have finally created my Sharepoint Holiday Booking Form using SPD, I have a Holiday Booking Form, An Annual Leave Remaining list and a leave calendar. When a user submits the form it goes for approval to the HR Manager if it is approved the days requested get adjusted on the Annual Leave Remaing List and the calender gets updated accordingly which is perfect. However when a user submits a request the Holiday booking list then gets populated with the request with a status of IN-Progress any user can now go and approve that request, How can i adjust this so that only the assigned person ie: the HR Manager can approve the request. And would it be possible to have it so that users can only see there own tasks, I did try to change this in the advanced settings of the list to specifi that users could only see there own, but then the assigned person who needs to approve them does not see them. Have i done this wrong is there a better way? Thanks for all your help so far John

Hi Magnus I can see exactly what you are saying now ill just explain what i have done i have an active directory group for my users, and they are added to my Team Site Members Group with the usual Contribute Permissions Applied. I have then created another group based on a new permissions list like you said and i have checked off the Edit, Delete and Approve Item Check Boxes. I Then went into list settings - permissions- actions - edit permissions and removed team site members and added my created group with the required permissions. However i am still able to edit delete etc. If I edit the Team Site Members Permissions which is the contribute one it works, John
