TaskSequence only fails from RAP (0x8007000D)
Hi Guys,
For some reason our TaskSequences stopped working if we want to run them in 'Run Advertised Programs'. With F12 (PXE boot) it runs ok, without any errors.
The only things added/changed to the TaskSequences are new drivers for new laptops and desktops.
------------------
Task Sequence: <TS name> has failed with the error code (0x8007000D). For more information, please contact your system administrator or helpdesk operator.
------------------
I hope you guys can help us and can send us in the right direction!
Thx in advance.
With kind regards
Pedro

See smst.log or the advertisement status messages. Your error description is way too general.Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de

I'm sorry for the late responce. Very busy overhere....
When I watch in the log directory I don't got any logfile named 'smst.log'
It seems like all programs run well...I can start new advertised programs and I can rerun them without any errors. But If I start a TS (XP image), it says 'Staging boot image' and directly after that I get the error.
If we use PXE boot...all TaskSequences are working without any error.
I gonna check those logs and post them if I can find something.
SCCM version: 2007 R2.
THX!

Sorry for the typo: it should read smsts.log. And what about the advertisement status messages?Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de

So it seems it wants to reboot and then it fails....
I'm still searching for the smsts.log file. Can't find it in the log directory.

Can you access your c-drive -> in other words are your storage drivers OK in windows pe
Maybe your hard drive is not formatted yet.
Format it with diskpart and re-run your task sequence, normally you should have now a log filehttp://scug.be/blogs/nico Twitter: @nsienaert

I am pretty sure that he can access the C: drive because he is running the tasksequence from "run advertised programs" :-)
smsts.log must be present. It might be in a subfolder of \CCM\Logs on the client.

SOLVED
Hi guys...sorry for the late response but we were very busy solving the problem.
The issue was the boot.wim file that was also updated with new network drivers. The state from the distributionpoint was still on 'Install pending' for some reason.
After we removed the DP and added it again, everything worked again!
Thank you for your time!!
