For a simplified example, I have the following situation where costs are measured over the following departments: Sales Support R&D HR Facility Management In the matrix/tablix, I would like to have four columns: Costs for sales Costs for support Costs for other departments Totals The data is cost data, all of the same financial type that I include in the query (used for the totals column - see below) In the rows, the different countries are displayed, so I have to put the above four sections in columns. To start with, I have created a column group where I group on the department ID, and I have a filter in the group on the two departments. This creates two columns for the different departments, exactly how I want it to have. For the totals, I add an adjacent column group, grouped on the financial transaction type and no filter. This creates one column with all totals. The problem is this "other" group, where I want to bundle some departments together into one column. I put an adjacent column group in between, grouped on the financial transaction type (because I only want one column displayed), and I put a filter on department 3, 4 and 5. Strangely enough, nothing is shown in the report preview, as if the whole column is hidden. As a test, I grouped this column group on department code, and as expected, three columns are shown, for each department. But that's not what I would like, I'd like to have them in one column grouped together. All suggestions are greatly appreciated!! Thanks. -
