Tablix Grouping Layout
Hi, I'm failry new to reporting services so sorry if this seems like such a trivial questions. I'm working with reporting services 2008. I have the following data: Group A Item 1 Group A Item 2 Group B Item 3 Group B Item 4 Group B Item 5 And I would like to display the data as follows: Group A Item 1 Item 2 --------------------------- Page Break ---------------------------- Group B Item 3 Item 4 Item 5 Is there any way to achieve this? I know I can do this with subreports but there has to be an easier way to do this. Thank you for your help, Gnarl

Hi Gnari, Of course there is an easier way. On your design simply add your first column as a parent (row) group and set the page breaks proprety for this group by selecting the group properties and , on tab 'Page Breaks', enable the option 'between each instance of a group.' hth, Cees Please remember to mark replies as answers or at least vote helpfull if they help and unmark them if they provide no help.

With groups, the only result I manage to achieve is this : Group A Item 1 Item 2 Group B Item 3 Item 4 In other words, the group is always on the left, and I would like to have a table that repeats itself for every group. Kind of like a 'Group header' or something. Is there a trick I missed?

Hi Gnarl , You have to look into stepped layout rather than regular block . http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc281376.aspx Link will guide you enough . Thanks . Rajkumar Yelugu
