Just recently found out that: during the XP OSD TS, the "Path" under hklm\currentcontrolset\control\sessionmanager\envirnoment\ changed from reg_expand_sz to reg_sz it happens when I deploy XP from a wim image (i have tried different wim files) and I noticed the key type got changed during the installation of sccm client The "Path" key type remain as reg_expand_sz if the OS TS uses the XP installation source files any idea why it does that? thanks

Did you install some software during OSD? Some software may change the "Path" type.
