Hello Soi Pang,Which update did you try to install? It seems the installation did damage the Operating System fileson the SCE 2007 Server. You can try to install/uninstall the update successfully to see if the SCE console could be back.As a workaround to operate SCE 2007, you can install a remote SCE console. To do it,read thefollowing article. How to Install a Remote System Center Essentials Consolehttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb437322.aspxThanks,Yog Li - MSFT

Hello Soi Pang, For the "WSUS 3.0 SP2 - Failed to install." problem, you can use the following forum: Discussion of WSUS on Windows Serverhttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/winserverwsus/threads You can upgrade to WSUS 3.0 SP2, if you have installed SCE 2007 SP1 on Windows Server 2003/2008. But make sure you can upgrade it successfully, or SCE 2007 server will not work properly. For the remote SCE console problem, please make sure: 1. Is it in the same domain with the SCE Server?2. Is that user who run the remote console a local administrator both on the SCE server and on the remote computer? Thanks,Yog Li - MSFT

Hello Yog, It is on the same domain and the user I logged has local admin/domain admin rights on both server and the remote computer. I was looking in the Windows EventViewer and I see nothing in Application nor System but the Operations Manager HealthService / Health Service modules warning. Please see below to see if you can help me with this. I am searching on solution but nothing seems to be helpful to my situation yet. **************************************************************************************************************Health Service ModulesEvent ID: 25001 The Operations Manager log on computer 'echo1.tcg.local' appears to have been cleared while the Windows Event Log Provider was down. Hello Soi,These two events seems not related to the console crash problem. You can find several threads in the forum by searching their Event ID. For the console crash problem, you'd better resolve the WSUS SP2 upgrading problem first. It could be also caused by the damaged systemfiles by the failed upgrade. Thanks,Yog Li - MSFT

Thanks Yog,I think it probably does damaged the system files. I remembered I installed the SCE2007 the c:\program files\update services directory. There were many folders under the "Update Services" directory, and now I only see these folders left under the c:\program files\update services: C:\Program files\UPdate Services\LogingilesC:\Program files\UPdate Services\SetupC:\Program files\UPdate Services\WebServicesC:\Program files\UPdate Services\WebServices\ClientWebServiceM5C:\Program files\UPdate Services\WebServices\Root\Syste_webC:\Program files\UPdate Services\WebServices\Root\2_0_5072Anyway, let says If I want to reinstall the SCE 2007 on the same "echo1" and domain which was previous installed on. Canyou give some advice how am I going to accomplish this task. "History - When I installed SCE 2007 for the first time back in a year ago. During the installation I selected to use the domain level policies and once SCE 2007 installed and it automatically created two Policies in the root of domain."Thanks,Soi -
