Syncing Active Directory and Lotus Notes/Domino
Hi, I have users in Lotus Notes/Domino, and I am trying to sync them to Active Directory. I am trying to use the Tivoli Directory Integrator software, but am having no luck getting it configured and going. I was told that FIM 2010 can sync between Notes/Domino and Active Directory .... but I have been unable to find any clear cut documentation or posts describing the process. Can someone shed some light on whether FIM 2010 can sync AD and Lotus Notes/Domino, and if it can, does anyone have any documentation on the process? Thanks in advance, Daniel Systems Admin

Certainly FIM 2010 can sync AD and Lotus Notes/Domino user objects. The following 3 references explain how you should approach this (on the initial basis that you want to replicate Lotus user accounts TO active directory): Introduction to Inbound Synchronization - use this to understand how to import data from a text file management agent, then apply the same process using the Notes management agentThe Management Agent for Lotus Notes - use this to understand any specifics about the nuances of the Notes MA specificallyHow Do I Provision Users to AD DS - use this to understand how to export users to AD (create/update - does not discuss deprovisioning/deleting ... to understand this you will have to locate a separate topic if this is a requirement) The above effectively will empower you to configure FIM to sync Lotus.user => FIMSync.person => FIMPortal.Person => FIMSync.person => AD.user. You can of course flow changes the other way, but you need to design precedence rules first (i.e. what wins when updates for the same attribute come from both Lotus and AD). However, the above should get you started.Bob Bradley (FIMBob @ http://thefimteam.com/) ... now using Event Broker 3.0 @ http://www.fimeventbroker.com/ for just-in-time delivery of FIM 2010 policy via the sync engine
