Hi All,

I am very new to AD LDS and have followed all of the MS articles, as
well as
read some books and also read a lot online.

I can setup my LDS instance
with no problems and sync the schema using
the schema analyzer.
When I try
and sync AD with LDS I get a naming violation error

I have tried the following to solve this:

- Recreated LDS instance and 
didn't run the
2008 schema update LDF.

As suggested in other forums I updated the posssuperiors setting.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this?

 

What do you mean by "When I try and sync AD with LDS" what tool/parameters do you use?

I am trying sync my AD LDS instance with Directory services by using Adamsync.exe

Here is the command I am using:

 

adamsync.exe /sync localhost:50000 DC=CstarLDS,DC=Tes,DC=win

CstarLDS is AD LDS instance...

I created the instance by following the link provided by you.
