Supress Document Information Panel
Hello, I wanted to know if anyone can tell me how you can supress the DIP from appearing when a document is clicked on in SharePoint 2007? I know about the setting for this under the Content Type but it doesn't appear to give you an option for not having this display (or is this the default if the "Always Show" is not selected?). Thank you for your Comments. Sincerely, Tim

Hello, So my immediate assumption through reading other blogs on this topic is that if the option for "Always show" is not checked then the DIP is not supposed to pop up. I am getting inconsistent results on this option setting currently. A note of interest that I discovered recently is that in one of my library's I have several content types. Amoung the many included in this library, one of them has the option("Always Show") selected. Could it be that because one of the Content Types has this option as checked that the library is treating all the others as the same? Thank you for your comments and thoughts. Sincerely, Tim
