Sun MA Returns a very small number of records on full import
Hi everyone, we have an interesting problem with Sun MA going against iPlanet 5.2. The MA in question only returns 12 records when running a full import. We have it running under the Sun Directory Manager credentials and we have checked the settings
on Sun server to see if there are any attributes set to limit the number of returned records. There are none.
We were able to get this working on a dev system with a MA that was connected to another Sun instance. We exported the MA to prod thinking this would solve it however no luck. Oddly enough we have found that even on our dev system if we create
a new Sun MA going the target directory that it to only pulls back the exact same number (12) of small records.
I have also looked in the FIM registry to see if there are any values that might cause the problem but no luck. If anyone has any thoughts on how to resolve this that would be great.
Thanks!

Have you checked that the object classes configured in your SUN MA are exactly the type you know to be in your SUN directory? Sounds to me like a schema mapping issue.Bob Bradley, www.unifysolutions.net (FIMBob?)

Agree with Bob. This probably objectclass related. Especially when schema extensions are made in SUN with parent-child relations this
can tricky with FIM. What objectclass are you trying to import? And is this perhaps an extended object-class?

You may also want to examine which containers are in scope for the MA -- your lab may have select continaners that are only partially reflected in production, so your import may not have the full directory as in-scope.

Bob and Freek, that was it. There was an associated sub class of account. Once we did show all for object types in the MA and selected "account" that did the trick.
Thanks!
