I  customized my SharePoint online site collection with a custom CSS that was pointed to.. One of the customizations was changing the color of the suite bar. However, when I looked online today, my custom suite bar color has changed to the default colors of SharePoint online...Was there an update conducted that overwrote my custom CSS? If so, would reinserting my custom CSS change the color back?

I recall reading a post or tweet that the SharePoint them no longer changed the color of the O365 Suitebar.

So yes, I think O365 updated something, causing this issue. You can just update your CSS to reflect the HTML changes.
