Suggestion to create Lists in a site definition
Hi all, I need to create a few lists with associated content types in a site definition.I have already populated content types and site columns using Feature in the site. Now i want to include them in the lists which are by default created in the site.I am in a dilemma of whether to create Schema.xml and use them to attach content types to list or Is there any other approach. My lists should not be displayed on create Page of the site. If I define a schema.xml file will they be visible on the create page..?I searched through net and came to a conclusion that it can be done through feature. But I don't know how..?It is also given that we can use list instances element to create. I am a whole confused of it. Please guide me through the right aproach. BTW I am not permitted to use Object model I should do this using only XML markup.
