Successfully processed content on distribution point VS Successfully Distributed content

Hello Everyone!

I am trying to figure out what the difference is between these two different status messages within monitoring, under content status.

  • Successfully processed content on distribution
  • Successfully Distributed content

For example I have a DP group of 4 DP's. I distributed a package to the group and 3 of the show Successfully processed content on distribution point, and the last one shows Successfully Distributed content.

Did the package successfully distribute? Could someone please explain the different meanings of these messages?

Thanks!!

I have no console next to me right now, but one of them could be that the content validation task ran successfully.

I believe that is correct. I tracked down a package that displayed Successfully Distributed Content  for each of our distribution points and manually triggered a content validation for the package only on 1 DP. The result was that content status message change from all for showing Successfully Distributed Content  to 3 and 1 new message stating: Successfully processed content on a distribution point.

The package that I validated, does it have to be redistributed on that 1 DP so it can deploy or is fine in the current state with the Successfully processed content on a distribution point message?

Hello,

CM2012 content status messages - what do they mean?

Content status message of successfully distributed content is the normal status when you deploy content to a DP

Content status message of successfully processed content on DP is the status when you validate content on a DP

Content status message of content was distributed to DP is when you redistribute content to the DP.
