Submiting WebForm or Infopath into SharePoint, Timeout & Thread Aborted (client XP)
Hi, We are having a very strange case, where submitting a sharepoint custom page with a viewstate of 2mb runs with no problems on vista and some XP and other XP it takes for ever to postback and submit (going back and forth with the 2mb viewstate) We have a similar problem when submiting infopath that post to an aspx inside sharepoint, when the infopath has attachments bigger than 5 mb it gets really slow on some machines but on other it submits ok. In a working ok machine we logged the user from a nok machine and it works ok, we logged with a local account, same problems, group policies are ok, and ISA dont have any request for the intranet (like suposed to). It must be something from the machine but what? We have compared the IE settings, both are on intranet zone, fw disabled, global group policies etc... Can any one help, a couple of hints would be nice. This might be a client (XP or IE) problem but i am not sure about the right forum..if now please redirect to the correct one. http://pontodepartilha.blogspot.com

Strange factor, it might help. When connecting to these workstations via services.msc the computers with a problem are very slow to connect (+1min) and the computers that handle the custom page or infopath ok are very fast to connect via remote services.msc (1sec). WMI? We could use some help, any ideas? Thks alot.http://pontodepartilha.blogspot.com

Have you checked your network switches and wires? It definitly sounds like you might have a hardware latency issue.Shannon Bray - MCT, MCPD, MCTS, MCITP Blog http://shannonbray.wordpress.com User Group Site: http://www.cospug.com
