Dear TechNet community,

I am currently running the windows 10 technical preview build 9841. Everytime I try to update to a newer build I get the message: "No new preview build was found, please try again later".

I tried following this post:

However, when I change the BranchName from fbl_awesome1501 or fbl_awsome1503 (don't remember) to fbl_release nothing happens. I still get the same message that no new previes build was found. TresholdRiskLevel is also set to be "low". I have another file (or whatever it is) called "(Default)" and data is "(value not set)". I can't delete this file.

I live in Denmark, maybe that has something to do with it?

Your build 9841 has expired since yesterday April 15th.

For get about updating from Windows Update. Go to the link below and download build 10041 ISO.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/preview-iso-update-1503

Once downloaded, you have 2 options :

1. Burn the 10041 ISO to a bootable DVD or a USB with at least 4 GB capacity. Then use it to do a clean install.

2. Assuming your 9841 is still functional, go to the location where 10041 ISO is stored > right click at it > click Mount > click Setup.exe.
If the 9841 is still functional, the system will start installing build 10041.

I agree with david hk129's solution!

I had same problem with that build, then i saw website with latest builds!

NOTE: 10041 isn't latest version! There is 10056!

You can get it for free:

 After download, you can follow david hk129's instructions! I gave you link to other site than Microsoft, because here you will get build updates!

10056 is a "leaked" build.
It is NOT meant for the general public, and it is NOT supported by Microsoft.

How do you know if the OP can use the 64-bit ?

@ Kasper Brandt.........Do NOT use that download site. Use it at your own risk.

The current Win 10 TP build is 10049. ( I never said 10041 is the latest build, but for downloading ISO, 10041 is the most current build available. )

10056 build is confirmed by Microsoft, this website is just link to the download site. I think its easier to download. Also when OP download 64 bit build, there is an option to go to 32 bit. Idk how did they do that but i think its good.

Good to know you have the problem solved.

It's worth noting that you can use the Advanced Options "Update expired build" to do a clean install that retains your existing data. This worked well for me.
