Store Beta does not open. It displays the spash screen and then closes
Hi All, This started occurring after installing build 10122 (English UK) - (an upgrade install -> progressive upgrades to each Fast Ring build from Windows 8.1update)
You never know, it might just iron itself out with the next Preview build (this is pre-release after all). Just in case any one has had the issue and knows a solution, Any help greatly appreciated.

the old windows store (green icon) works, no issues.

Activation of application Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App failed with error: The remote procedure call failed. See the Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational log for additional information.

Troubleshooting to date:
1. Tried to wsreset from Admin command prompt.
  - Failed: Error ms-windows-store:PurgeCaches the remote procedure call failed

2. Tried "powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.xml"
  - process completes, no error on-screen. But store crashes occur as before.

3. Tried to delete all .JSON files from C:\Users\paulf\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState
  - same as before. Store Crashes.

4. Tried SFC /SCANNOW from Admin command prompt.
  - process completed, but behaviour as before.

Hi,

Since you have tried so much methods.

Now the left method I would suggest you is resetting your installation:

Click the start menu->Settings->Update & security->Recovery->Reset this PC

Thanks for taking the time to respond. Will this step reset the PC to stock Windows (configure it as a new PC)?

If I understand correctly, this means that any installed applications will be lost, but documents will be retained.

Unfortunately, I would like to try all other avenues first as I have a number of Applications installed and environment variables configured for development and debugging work that I would prefer not to have to set up from scratch again.
