Steady state won't reboot computer on logout, just on login
I'm using Steady State 2.5 on 2 XP computers. On each, I have created a regular, non-administrative, user ID. Within Steady State, I have set the option to reboot after logoff. This does not occur. Instead, the next time any user logs into the PC, very quickly after entering their password, but before the desktop is ever diplayed, the computer reboots. It's a clean system restart, so the system doesn't complain. Both systems have just have a brand new, clean installation of XP.One system has drive protection on, but the other does not.On both systems, the non-admin user was created prior to the installation of Steady State.

Hi, I suggest you temporarily disable WDP with the restriction, restart the computer, then enable the restriction and see the result. If that works, you can enable WDP again. Hope this helps!Sean Zhu - MSFT

If you'll notice in my description of the issue, in order to test what's going on, I have two computers with Steady State installed. One has Disk Protection enabled, and one doesn't. They are both exhibiting the same symptoms. To provide a little more information, when the second users logs in, they will enter their password, they system will start connting them, and the background screen will very, very briefly flash on the screen before the system starts logging the user off, and then reboots.

Yes, I noticed that. For the computer without WDP enabled, you can simply disable the setting, restart the computer and reconfigure it to see the result.Sean Zhu - MSFT
