Steady state 2.5 erasing usb?
We have steady state running on a small classroom used by some students. Overall the product works great. However, we have had a couple of complaints that the system is erasing there USB drives. Since we block access to saving documents to the PC, we encourage students to save their work on USB drives. Is it possible the steady state setup would erase the USB drive? Anyway to log this and prevent this? Thanks

Hi IlyaD, I'd like to inform you that the only restriction in Windows SteadyState that relates to USB device is the following: Set computer restrictions | Security Settings | Prevent write access to USB storage devices If you have not enabled this restriction, this issue should relate to other system factors including USB device drivers. You can try reinstall the drivers in Device Manager and see the result. Hope this helps!Sean Zhu - MSFT

Thank you. Just needed confirmation that it was not the Steady State system that would erase an entire USB drive. Thanks.
