Steady State Restarting On Its Own
So I have SteadyState installed on about 50 computers that are all on the same network. All of a sudden, SteadyState turns off these computers without warning, causing everybody to lose their data. This does not happen simultaneously and it is basically a sequenence of random, apparently independent events. If anybody has any information about how I can get this to stop, I would greatly appreciate it. It has been happening for about 6 hours and happens in random time intervals (as short as every 20 minutes and as long as every 3+ hours).

You may try to stop 2 things. Step1: login windows with the admin account . Step2. Stop the "Windows Update" at the windows control panel Step3. At the "SteadyState Software" configuration page, find one checkbox that talking about " Update something" , uncheck it ( means: disable the update function) Step4. Restart the windows . When the "SteadyState" ask you that " Do you want to apply the change ? " . You say "YES". After the windows restart , check 2 "update functions" had disable actually. Then , you need to wait a moment to verify the solution. PS: You may find ONE or TWO computers to try the solution. I think the problem is that : Windows try to install any "update package" by itself. The "update package" want to reboot the windows to finish the installation. After the windows restarted. Windows will lose the "update package" again. ( Beacause of the "Disk Protection function" ) . So , windows will be download the "update package" again and again , install and install , reboot and reboot .......... Never to be stop.
