Statview shows 0 of 0 records.

Hi,

When I try to view the status messages for any of the components it returns 0 results.

I have tried running the SQL query found in SMSProv.log direct on the SQL server, and that also return 0 results.

I think there is an error with items being written to the database, but am unclear as to which of the many log files i should check.

Can anyone advise?

I am running SCCM 2012 R2 CU4 on Windows 2012 R2, the database is SQL 2008 R2 SP1, on Windows 2008 R2.

Did it ever work or is this a new installation? Any errors in statmgr.log?

It seems to have previously worked, but has now stopped, although the time it stopped shows no correlation to any scheduled work (I.e ticketing system).

I have check the statmgr.log, and there are 2 references to the follwoing in the last 20 mins, but nothing before that.

*** [22001][8152][Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0][SQL Server]String or binary data would be truncated. : sp_InsContentDistributionStatus

ERROR: Could not add a SQL command to the transaction.  Most likely, there is a problem with the SQL server or our connection to it.  The transaction will be rolled back.

I have found and followed https://support.microsoft.com/kb/884123/en-us.

It appears to be working.
