Start menu, Search, Store, Edge and Onedrive all not working

Hi,

So I installed windows 10 a few weeks ago and it had been working without any problems, except for norton attempting to continuously update itself, until now.

Yesterday I lost microsoft Edge and Onedrive from both my task bar and also desktop. Today I lost the store from taskbar and desktop as well. Plus I can no longer click the start button, use the search feature or right click for options on any open programs (for example to pin them to the taskbar).

When I try to access Onedrive through my file explorer I am met with the error message: " This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the default programs control panel."

Whilst not being able to access Onedrive from my home screen isn't the end of the world as I can still use chrome, not having access to the start menu, search function or store is causing serious problems.

I have scoured the internet for solutions and nothing appears to work.

Will there be a fix being released soon, or should I go back to windows 7?

Thanks, kind regards,

Sean

Hi Dynamoziv,

Considering this issue occurred recently, we could perform a system restore to recover the machine to a previous normal point if it is possible.

Best regards
