Standalone subordinate certification authority Windows server 2008r2

Hey guys @ Technet,

I've been struggling with a configuration issue for a while now. Let me state that i'm all new to this.

I've been trying to configure a standalone subordinate CA with a Standalone root CA. i managed to get the Root CA up an running but for the Standalone Subordinate it seems there no documentation since Windows server 2003(correct me if i'm wrong). the best info i could find out there is this(https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc787017(v=ws.10).aspx) link, but as i am working in Windows server 2008R2 i was hoping for something in that context. can anybody out there help me out with this??

just need some indication of what to and what not to do and i'll find my way out.

thanks in advance.

P.S

i really need it to be standalone an not enterprise.

Hi Diego,

Please check this one:

Install a Subordinate Certification Authority

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc772192.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

In the step 3 Specify Setup Type, just select Standalone.
