Stacked Bar chart missing percentage sign
Hello,I hope someone can help me. I have used a Stacked bar chart in SSRS 2008. This chart shows the percentage but without the "%" sign. It's not showen in de datalabel and also not in the axis. I have tryed to format but with a P0 it multipy by 100. Ideas?Regards,Robbert

u can use point labels in this way =sum(fields!name.value) & "(%)"Praxy

Hello Praxy,I think that is not possible because there is no field in use in the labels. A stacked bar chart has default "usevalueaslabel" set to true. In my dataset I use a measure witch is not the percentage but the underlying data. The Stacked bar chart calculate this values to percentage at the background I think. So this solution is not gone work :(

You need to set the label format property to ##.##%. There is a bug in the property pages that prevents this from persisting so you will have to use the property grid directly to set it. -SeanProgram Manager, SQL Server Reporting Services This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. http://blogs.msdn.com/seanboon http://www.twitter.com/ssrs

Hello Sean,Unfortunately that is not gone work. This format also multiplies the label with 100. The label is already a percentage (because of the stacked bar chart) but is missing the percentage sign. I think it is a bug. I don't know how to solve it at the moment. Got any other ideas?

I am having the same issue. If I set the max value to Auto or 100, then the labels are multiplied by 100 and show 4000% instead of 40%. If I set the max value to 1, then the labels display correctly in 10% or 20% increments from 0% to 100%, but my data bars are off the chart. The values are also correct if I do not format them with P0 (use the default no format) but then there is no % at the end of the labels which is a little misleading. Has there been no other answers to this? Did you get anything to work?

Hi, Using ##.## "%" seems to work. Give it a try.

Hi, Using ##.# "%" works, however when the percentage is 0, the label shows a percent sign with no number. I would really like to completely hide the label if the percentage is below 0.5 % but I cannot figure out a way to do this with a stacked percentage bar chart. It is easily done in a pie chart with an expression, but since the percentage is calculated in the background of the bar chart, I do not know how to refer to this value in an expression. Thank you.

All, I run into this issue from time to time as well, and I have found a solution. If you place a backslash "\" in front of the percentage symbol, it will act as an escape character and RS seems to pass it through as text which stops it from multiplying the value by 100. For instance, using the following FORMAT: ##.0#\% will format the number 90.1234 to be "90.12%". and 88 to "88.0%".
